When the maintenance worker breaks my thing?
A maintenance worker entered my place yesterday and did some bathroom work. My husband did put in a work order, but forgot to tell me about the order b/c he wasn’t feeling well. We didn’t receive any notice about the date/timing of the work.I found that eyeglass frames without nose pads the worker had dropped my eyeglasses and broke the nose piece. I called the corporate office and asked them to send an email to my leasing office since the leasing office was closed when I called. No one has contacted me. Am I still supposed to receive notices re: repairs I (or my husband) may have asked for? Can I ask them to replace the broken eyeglasses since the man actually broke it? My lenses are super high-indexed – I received a quote of $250 this morning just for the lenses, minus frames. Or is it our fault for not moving the eye glasses without knowing when they were coming?
