Ocular migraine- will I get more?
I am 24 yr old female in good health. Lots of stress (full time job as an intensive care pediatric nurse, graduate school, recently moved, married 2 years, have 2 dogs). Was VERY tired er eye glasses at work (3rd shift) and vision got blurry, then right eye lost peripheral vision. Was like frosted glass placed over my eye. Went to ER, had elevated BP (160/90) and had no pain. Had optho exam- normal pressures and structures… diagnosed ocular migraine. Went home and 1 hour later got a 36 hour headache with nausea when I bent forward. Could this have been a single occurance or am I doomed for a lifetime of migraines? HELP!!!!
