I highly recommend eyeglasses frame. I think it was the best investment I did.

can optitians sell eyeglasses frames then and there without prescription lenses?
i seen a pair of eyeglasses in specsavers in the town where eyeglasses frame i wrk, so i decided to go to my local specsavers optitians and the certain eyeglassesframe i wanted has been discontinued by the manufacturer. I went past the specsavers i seen them in and there still on the shelf , would i be able to buy those pair as i really liked the frame?

No glue is going to hold a broken metal frame together. There is a lot of pressure on the bridge every time you put them on and off…no glue will hold.Only 3 months old, they will surely still be under warranty…go back to the optical store tomorrow and they should replace them free of charge.

go to the craft store and the sales clerk there would be able to help you….I have thought about painting and emblishing mine too!

You can get non perscription eye glass at a drug store.

unmounting the lenses depends on if you have a metal, plastic, or semi rimless frame…metal has small precision screws holding the barrel together which are sometimes easy to lose.plastic frames usually have to be heated up but not too much to damage the frame in order to mount the lenses within it.semi rimless is held together with a piece of nylon “fishing line” and mounted within a groove surrounding the lens.so depending on what kind of frame you have hope this gives a better idea for you. honestly i wouldnt recommend doin it yourself. i would say take it to an optical and ask them to do so. most of the larger retailers (pearle vision, lenscrafters, eyemasters) will usually do it for free if not a very small minimal fee, which is a lot less than having to replace a whole pair of glasses.hope this helps, good luck

I like girls and guys with glasses, I think it makes them look cute. Not only that, but thick framed ones that make them look “nerdy” turn me on, probably because It makes them look smart and mature, which I find attractive, and it’d also make you look sort of clean-cut and innocent (“nerds never get any action”) and for me it’s a turn on when a seemingly innocent person turns out to be a total freak in bed. For me it’s a turn on when someone wears glasses, in and out of bed.

It isn’t possible, unless the new eyeglass frame is smaller than the old one. And in that case, you’d still need a professional grinder.I’d suggest checking out http://www.replacementlensexpress.com. They do exactly what you are looking for- give them your prescription and send in your frames and they will make new lenses for your frames. If you really can’t part with your frames, there’s a chance that they already have the template. In this case, e-mail them the make and model number (found on the side of the frame, or the “temple”) and ask if they can cut the lenses without you sending in the frame. Here’s their e-mail: info@replacementlensexpress.com.You‘ll save money this way, otherwise you’ll pay an arm and a leg at an optical shop.

oakley titanium frames are in my opinion, probably the best. they are lightweight, have the spring hinges, and fashionable. other than that, anything from marchon that is titanium is great too. if your looking for a rimless eyewear, silhouette is the best brand. not only does silhouette have a two year warranty on the frames, but it is also widely used in NASA. hope you find the right one for you =)

Check out the ezine on choosing frames to suit your face at http://www.stingyspecs.com.au that should give you the basics, so that then you can choose the colour or decorative temples etc to reflect your style and personality- I chose the fabianne frame from them this way in bronze for a trendy bold look. Good Luck

First, let me explainn how the measurements are achieved. The bridge is measured from the inside of the eyewire of one lens to the outside of the eyewire on the other lens at the narrowest point between the lenses. The lenses are measured at the widest point left-to-right from the inside of the eyewire on both sides (most lab techs refer to this as the “A” measurement). The monocular frame PD (pupillary distance) is the total of adding the bridge + A + A then divide by 2. The lab tech then uses the patient’s monocular PD to figure the decentration needed to line the optical center of the lens to the patient’s pupils. This is important since the patient will get the best visual acuity when they look through the optical center of the lens. The frame measurements will be printed on one of the temples or inside the bridge. Now if you want to purchase glasses online, I recommend that you try some on at the store. Note the frame measurements for use when placing your order. Also, pay attention to the temple length. The temples can be adjusted by a trained eyewear specialist, but remember that they can’t make a temple longer if it’s too short.Hope this helps.**EDIT** I just saw the notes you added. If the frame was labeled as “Big Man” I’m pretty sure the 58-17-145 was correct. Many optical shops, WalMart included, carry a few specialty frames for the larger gentlemen. I would strongly suggest that you stick to the bigger sized frames if the one you tried was comfortable at the store. If you order something online that isn’t comfy, will you be able to return it? I know the smaller styles are fashionable right now, but you need to consider your comfort as well. Best of luck in your eyewear quest!

No glasses frame is in style, it’s just that you look stylish if you pick the right ones. You need to think carefully about which you pick, but in the end it’s worth it because you’ll look so glamourous!Below is a website that holds a ton of information about how you should pick your glasses, based on your face shape, skin tone, eye colour etc.Good luck!http://www.specsavers.co.uk/glasses/buyers-guide/face-shape/ <– FACE SHAPEhttp://www.specsavers.co.uk/glasses/buyers-guide/frame-size/ <– FRAME SIZE GUIDANCEhttp://www.specsavers.co.uk/glasses/buyers-guide/hair-colour/ <– HAIR COLOURYou could also browse the site to see if there is anything you particularly like. I use dishwashing soap… it’s the best way I’ve found to wash any glasses… It works great, gets all grease off and doesn’t harm the glasses. Wash them in your dishwater, before washing any of your dishes. You’ll really be pleased with the effect!
