I use to use Armor All on my car all the time, but I stop using it because if you stop using it for a while everything starts to crack…. Tires, Dash everything started cracking.

Most chain opticals that sell Oakley also use Oakley lenses, which are made to your prescription, then coated using the Oakley coatings. They are very expensive. Some private practice eye docs also participate in Eye Med (we do). They have more freedom in choice of prescription labs. The lab that I use does “oakley style” lenses (curved, neat coatings) for a fraction of the cost of oakley lenses. The quality is just as good, though. These lenses will still cost you more than “standard” sunglass lenses, and you won’t find them everywhere. Sometimes it pays to price shop.

It would help if you can clarify if you’re looking for eyeglasses or sunglasses and what your desired uses are. There are a lot of things at usstandardissue.com (which is a bunch of Oakley stuff, but not all wraparound things like you’re talking about, especially in eyeglasses). If you’re really looking for “military grade” though, most things are going to wraparound for function/protection these days. Also keep in mind that for protection many things are designed to ultimately break with a significant enough impact — the point is to do so in a manner that protects the eye.

The Fuel cell is only a tiny bit larger. I would f with something like an Antix or an Oil Rig. If you can find on, a Monster DOG would also be a good option. Montefrios are pretty big too.If your choice is gascan vs fuel cell- go with the fuell cell- it’s larger.HTHD

Most Oakley prescription frames are fine, as long as the color is conservative. The logo is a trademark, and not an initial or adornment. Oakley has provided numerous products to the military directly, and they all have the “o” logo. You can find a huge selection of Oakley prescription frames at http://www.heavyglare.com. They do a lot of ballistic eyewear for the military as well.
