I suggest calling your insurance company to see if they would cover a replacement pair of eyeglasses or part of the replacement. There is no way for anyone to be able to answer this question without knowing what coverage you have and the cost of your eyeglasses. I know my insurance company covers one pair of eyeglasses or years supply of contact lenses per calendar year. I usually get the contact lenses and order eyeglasses online.If it turns out that your eyeglasses are not covered. I suggest checking online retailers to see if they carry the guess frames and shop around for them.

Yes you can do that, but coloured lenses planos cost the same as coloured corrective lenses of the same brand in disposables and are only about $30-$40 extra for conventionals. So in reality you’d be wasting your money getting a pair of planos to wear under spectacles.

Basic answer, Yes.But it’s not as simple as that…Several possible effects can take place when the pupils dilate at night.1) if the glasses are a little (or a lot) out of date, the amount of blur produced by the error is dependent on the size of the pupil. So what may seem adequate glasses in the day-time may reveal their inadequacy at night.2) The larger pupil may introduce into the optical system portions of the cornea with a different refration or abberation. This is fairly rare and not usually very significant, but it can be most marked, for example with early cataract.2) Many people, some more than others, actually shift more short-sighted at night “night myopia”. It can sometimes be demonstrated with binoculars: set them for good distance focus in the daytime, and then see if, at night, the focus wheel has to be turned appreciably to get best distance vision.Rarely, night driving glasses with an extra strength component can be useful. More often the hoped for effect is not achieved, or it turns out that the basic glasses were in fact slightly underpowered in the first place.

Your frames have to be ophthalmic in order to hold ophthalmic (prescription) lenses. They have to have a deep enough bevel or the lenses will not stay in properly. So if you purchased them at a department store or elsewhere, chances are they won’t work. If your not sure, take them in to an optical shop and they can check for you. Hope you saved your receipt just in case you need to return them! As far as the price for lenses, there is no set price. That would be like walking into a car dealership, and asking them how much their cars are. It all depends on where you buy, what type of lenses you want, and what type of lenses you need for your Rx. I’ve seen lenses cost as little as $20 up to hundreds of dollars. The range is vast! Do you want clear lenses or changeable tint? Do you want thinner lenses? Do you want scratch resistant coating? Anti-reflective treatment? Do you need single vision or multifocal lenses? The list of questions go on and on…sorry!

If the frame is suitable any optician will be able to do that.Those fashion glasses aren’t always made to take proper lenses but you take them somewhere and they’ll tell you if it’s possible.

I highly suggest you get it online. I order from http://optical4less.com and I know that they offer this service. Choose a pair that you like and fill out the prescription and then you can add tinting to it. It’s that simple and the price is extremely cheap too. They ship internationally so living in the Philippines will not be a problem at all. Good luck!

that is not the prescription, which are never written on frames. what you are describing is the frame size, or more specifically, the bridge and lens size. the first number describes the distance across one lens, the second number describes the distance of the bridge–this is the little bar between the two lenses. sometimes there will be a third number describing the length of the temple (the bar on the side). all measurements are in millimeters.therefore, 41-20-140 would mean a 41mm lens with a 20mm bridge and a 140mm temple.these numbers are helpful if you want a pair of similarly sized glasses in the future.

Use rubbing alcohol and a cotton ball. You’ll have to scrub it for a while but it should work. You might need to get some with a high alcohol content.
